Who is this person, and what is she thinking about?
I am a writer, reader, teacher, mama, friend, sister, daughter, and neighbor. I live in Brooklyn with the dude, the babe, and the dog. I love movies and books like a crazy person, and the rest of the arts are fine by me, too.
I called this blog “I’m thinking…” for two reasons. First, because that’s what I often say when asked my opinion. It takes me a long, long time to decide what I think, what I want, and what I like. I’m not wishy-washy, I just need time to think. I’m a libra so please don’t blame me for that annoying personality quirk.
The second reason is that, sometimes, in the midst of all the chores and errands and general obligatory nature of how I spend my time, I forget to think. That is, I forget to think about – for lack of a better word – bigger things. This blog is my way of forcing myself, regularly, to sit down and squeeze a little something out of this thing I call a brain.
On this blog, I’ll mostly write about books, both writing them and reading them. I’ll get philosophical on you once in a while, too, but I promise not to let myself get to carried away in that direction. For the most part, it’ll be books. And, for the most part, those will be of the Young Adult fiction variety.
I welcome book submissions, though I won’t guarantee that I’ll review your book on this site. If you are an author or publisher, you may contact me by email.
